Homeschool Field Trip

Last Friday the girls and I took a field trip with our Homeschool group to the Sauer-Beckman Living History Farm.  They had a GREAT time learning about life on the farm in the late 1800's and early 1900's.  It was especially interesting for Libby as she is currently reading the Little House books and had fun seeing some of the very things she had read about! (She was even able to answer quite a few questions during the tour much to my surprise!!).  Unfortunately, I was so busy keeping a 2 year old and baby happy during the tour that I didn't snap any pictures but I did get some fun pictures of the kids playing during our picnic afterwards.  There were about 100 people from our homeschool group present and the kids had such a good time playing with some of their new friends.

Week 3 Memory Verse

Each week the girls have a new bible verse to commit to memory.  While we won't make you watch them all...the girls were especially proud of their memory work from this past week as it was a large chunk to memorize.  Emily and Libby bring you 1 John 4:15-16:

Our Garden Grows

It has been over 3 weeks now since we've planted the garden and we have completed 3 wonderful weeks of Homeschooling.  It has been fun to watch & observe the growth in both gardens!  My what an Awesome God we have who causes life to spring from such little seeds.  With tender care, fertile soil, sun & rain, roots are sent down deep and growth begins.  How very blessed I am to experience the joy of tending the gardens!!
