As exciting as it is to see these little ones grow and progress, I couldn't help but get a little pang in my heart at seeing Baby Duck no longer on her hands & knees!

Pinwheels

In preparation for Memorial Day weekend, the older 2 ducks made red, white, and blue pinwheels this afternoon (Thanks Dianna for the great idea!!). We used double-sided tape to hold them together instead of glue and I have to say: I AM A NEW FAN. I think we will be using this tape much more during our crafting adventures.

While we were making the pinwheels, the girls and I discussed Memorial Day and how we can show appreciation to our servicemen and remember those who have served. The girls got into the idea and while I was making dinner, they created an American Flag "doormat" for the Captain to see when he came home (we'll cover flag etiquette when they're

a bit older).

JC Penney NOT

So, we attempted a family photo session at JC Penney. I say attempted, because clearly the photographer failed to grasp the concept of "the more the better". She would take minutes to get us situated in a pose and then (I KID THEE NOT) snap just ONE (yes one!!) photo of us. Then she would say, "OK, let's try something else". After this happened twice, the Captain and I questioned why on earth she was not snapping more pictures of us in each position ~ this concept was clearly lost on her. 30 minutes later we had a total of 4 family photos from which only 2 were usable. I could go on and on but I won't. Hoping not to waste the fact that we were all dressed up...we made some more attempts at home with the tripod. Here are the results: And Yes, JC Penney, it is possible to snap more than one picture in the same position and get different results. ENJOY!!

Backyard Tour

House Facelift

We finally have pictures taken of our latest endeavors in regards to the house. While my parents were visiting, I managed to paint two main rooms and the front entry/hallway. We also recently put in new kitchen counter tops and The Captain replaced our florescent lights with track lighting.
Lastly, The Captain and I built a table for the girls - this has been a great addition for school & play! ENJOY!!

Happy Birthday Baby Duck!!

Our Littlest Duck celebrated her first birthday yesterday!! She is walking along things but not walking on her own yet. She has 3 teeth now - 1 on top and 2 on bottom. She LOVES to play with balls especially when her sisters are chasing her. She is always flashing us smiles and loves to babble to anyone who will listen!
